Network Equipment Setup

• Plywood Backboard Installation: We installed a robust 2×4 plywood backboard at the designated network equipment location, creating a stable mounting surface essential for supporting heavy network equipment effectively.
• Rack and Patch Panel Installation: A 12U Pivot Rack was centrally mounted on the backboard, chosen specifically for its suitability for deep switch installations. Accompanied by a Panduit 48-port patch panel, each port was meticulously labeled as “A” and “B” to facilitate streamlined organization and management.
• Power Supply Setup: To efficiently manage power distribution, a power strip was installed at the bottom of the rack. Above this, a 2U shelf was positioned to allow for organized placement of additional network devices, ensuring a tidy and accessible setup.

Cabling Installation

• CAT6 Deployment: Our team strategically deployed 32 Category 6 plenum voice and data cables, following a carefully designed floor plan to ensure optimal connectivity and enhance network reliability across the facility.
• Wireless Access Points: Three Category 6 cables were installed for Wireless Access Points (WAPs) in key locations: the ceiling of the Waiting Room, the warehouse, and the hallway ceiling outside the offices. This strategic placement is designed to maximize wireless coverage throughout the premises.
• Patch Cable Connections: To accommodate various network configurations, we connected a total of 32 Panduit patch cables in lengths of 3 feet and 7 feet, ensuring flexible and reliable connections between network devices.
• Paging Installation: The project included the installation of three paging speakers, 18/2 speaker cable, a Bogen amplifier, and volume control, set up for efficient customer VoIP paging to enhance communication within the facility.
